Cosham Fire Station will be opening its doors this summer for a jam-packed day of fun and fire safety. The station's annual Open Day will take place on Saturday, 7 August and provides local residents with the chance to visit their fire station to gain an insight into the various activities firefighters undertake.

The festivities, taking place between 10am and 4pm, will include entertainment for children as well as fire and rescue demonstrations. Refreshments and snacks will be on sale for hungry visitors and also merchandise, with all monies raised going to charities. There will be short displays throughout the day by the station crews and a variety of stalls at the open day together with plenty of activities on site to keep younger visitors entertained.

Firefighters will also be showcasing the equipment that they use to help keep Cosham and the surrounding area safe on a daily basis.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service's open days are fun for all the family but also provide an opportunity to learn more about a host of safety matters from home to road safety. Your local crew looks forward to seeing you there!
