Data Technician – external advert

Grade E, £20,198 per annum (subject to evaluation) - based at Service HQ, Eastleigh

At Hampshire Fire and Rescue we are building a new team to manage key systems/data and analyse information to inform decision making in the Service.

We are looking to recruit a Data Technician to support the team in the management and development of FireWatch and other tools and processes. You will need to have the following skills:

Excellent IT skills with experience of working with databases and the ability to utilise SQL.
Good team working skills to assist you in working as part of a small team to deliver the requirements of the Service.
Good communication skills to assist you in providing help and guidance to our staff.
Knowledge of data protection legislation to assist you in providing information to members of the public and other agencies who require information on the incidents we attend.
Good organisational skills to assist you in organising your work to deliver to agreed deadlines.
Ideally you will be familiar with the FireWatch systems.
