About Driver Training

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service Driver Training is managed by Pete Redgwell (as pictured). The Department's maxim is "Drive to Arrive" and we endeavour to influence drivers' behaviour for the better throughout their driving career with the service. Our primary aim is to improve driving standards throughout the service for both uniformed and non-uniformed members, we provide a wide range of practical courses designed to meet the varying need of the service.

We are a team of 5 driving instructors, two of which have been trained to examiner status for HGV vehicles. and three are forklift instructors The department runs courses from minibus familiarisation, through to emergency driving in a state of the art of an incident response unit.
