To apply for funding for a Further Education course:
You have to be in the Service for over a year
You must discuss your request with your Line Manager at your PDR
Fill in FM-9-6-1-2 as much as possible, ensuring you get page 2 signed by a witness and attach any course information from the college / university / training provider – return to Danielle Ford, Training Support
Your application will be considered by the Head of Training and Development
You will receive notification of whether your request has been approved or refused
If refused you will be informed of the reasons why
If approved, you must then apply direct to the college / university / training provider. If confirmation that HFRS will be paying the course fees, i.e. a purchase order number / official letter is needed, please inform Danielle Ford and the relevant paperwork will be raised
Please make copies of all you application forms and send them to Danielle for inclusion in your file
You must also send us copies of any results / certificates to enable us to update your personal training record
