Focusing on our ‘Views’ performance management database, you’ll have responsibility for database administration and configuration, as well as problem solving. This will involve managing and maintaining performance measures, acting as the central point of support for users, developing performance indicators and providing training and development to staff to ensure they get the maximum benefit from the system. We’ll also expect you to liaise closely with software suppliers, the Communities and Local Government, Audit Commission and other stakeholders to collate and supply performance data.
Along with a proven project management background and ideally a relevant qualification at HND level or equivalent, you’ll bring experience of working on an IT support service in a large organisation. Knowledge of performance management techniques, Structured Query Language, and ‘Visual Basic for Applications’ skills will also be essential.

To support our operational requirements, it is essential that fire hydrants are available for immediate use. In this role, you’ll be responsible for visiting locations throughout the county to carry out maintenance works to ensure the hydrants are in good working order and calculate the position of new hydrants at development sites. We will also look to you to keep maintenance records up to date.
Along with a demonstrable aptitude for mechanical repairs, you’ll be able to interpret technical drawings, work on your own initiative and be able to carry reasonable loads. A full UK driving licence will also be essential. Previous experience in a similar role and an awareness of operational hydrant requirements would be desirable.

Supporting our Supplies department, you’ll help to ensure that we provide a first-rate and efficient procurement function. This will involve a range of duties, from meeting request for stores issues and maintaining stock security to collating and distributing the annual stores catalogue and keeping the stock management system up-to-date.
Experience in a supply or procurement environment will be important, as well as a highly organised approach, the ability to work on your own initiative and an understanding of basic administrative systems. Knowledge of SAP will also be highly valued.
