Pay and Allowances Handbook

Introduction

This handbook covers all payment and allowances for all HFRS staff conditioned to Grey book (Wholetime and Retained staff) or Green book (Support staff). Particular groups of staff will be indicated as follows:

Where details on how to make claims for payments and allowances can be found in the Station Administration Manual (SAM), the SAM reference is shown next to each subject.

Where a payment or allowance is made in accordance with a recognised scheme of conditions of service, a Grey Book or Green Book reference is given.
