Grey Book

Version Six of the Grey Book was issued in 2004. This sixth edition of the scheme represents the national terms and conditions of employment of uniformed employees (other than those in Brigade Management roles) of the fire and rescue services of all local authorities in the United Kingdom, and of volunteers carrying out operational firefighting duties, as supplemented from time to time by local agreements and provisions.
