As part of the National Assessment and Development Toolkit the process for moving from Crew Manager to Watch Manager follows a set path.

This consists of an Initial Test of Potential followed by the ADC which is made up of role plays. Movement between roles within the level i.e. Crew to Watch Manager is achieved through attending Personal Qualities and Attributes [PQA] based interviews. There is no test of potential and hence no exemptions for holders of the FSEB SubOfficers qualification.
A pass will remain valid for eighteen months. If unsuccessful, candidates may not reapply for twelve months.
